Riding

Come to Gloucestershire for a riding holiday where you and your horse can enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Forest of Dean.

We have over 50 acres of pasture on the farm, which includes grazing, a grass gallop, a canter track, and an outdoor menage, both with  all weather surfaces. There is direct access to the Forest of Dean where flint tracks provide all weather riding through peaceful woodland. Your welcome pack will include a number of documented easy to follow rides lasting from 1 to 4hrs. You will be welcome to ride out with us when we are exercising our horses and we will gladly show the various routes.  Riding hats must be worn at all times when riding on the farm.

We recommend that you bring Ordnance Survey Leisure map 14 which covers the whole area. The stables are all brick built,15ft by10ft, with concrete floors and are directly accessible from the accommodation. A tack room is provided with saddle racks, rug racks and space for feed and other tack. Two 1 acre paddocks are provided for visitors which again are directly accessible from the accommodation. Horse boxes and trailers can be parked off road in the yard at the entrance to the farm. Straw and hay is  available and is included in the DIY price. Shavings are available at an additional cost of £35 per stable. Watch our video for more details of the accommodation and the riding.
Prices: DIY £15 per night with a minimum of £30 per horse.
Grazing only (if field conditions permit) £10 per night
You must be over 18 years old and have third party horse and personal insurance and confirmation that your horse is wormed and vaccinated against flu and tetanus.
