About

When you have a holiday at Church Farm, we’re sure you will enjoy staying in one of our beautiful granary apartments. The granary is situated in a stable courtyard next to the farmhouse.
The building was newly converted in 1999 and furnished into two apartments and we have maintained the original  character and features of the building.  The building is two storey and each apartment is on a separate floor with separate entrances. Outside there is a garden where you can relax and enjoy the views across the fields to the Forest. For more details please view our video on this site.

If you have any special requirements please contact John or Lucy and we will be happy to discuss them with you.

The farm is situated in the hamlet of Abenhall, in the Forest of Dean, one mile from the village of Mitcheldean which is midway between the city of Gloucester and the market town of Ross-on-Wye. There is easy access from the M50,M5,M4 and the A40.

The farm is approached along a quiet single track road and is opposite the 15th century church. We have over 50 acres of fields with horses, cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, ducks and chickens grazing. There is small wood with a stream and pond. All these areas are free for you to walk in. Footpaths across the farm lead you directly into the Forest where you can walk through woodland with giant trees and magnificient views over the Vale of Gloucester and the river Severn.

There are many interesting places to visit both in the Forest and in the local area. There is a folder in the apartments describing these places and we are happy to make specific recommendations to you to suit your interests.
